The Lady Knights tennis team took on the Raiders at Pembroke Hill on Thursday, Sept. 23 and walked away with a solid 5-4 victory.
At #1 doubles to open the day, juniors Sarena Biria and Mary Colombo combined for a solid net game and strong baseline game for an easy 8-2 win. At #2 doubles, freshman Atra Biria and sophomore Lia Adams overwhelmed the Pembroke pair, 8-1.
At #1 singles, Sarena Biria closed her match in short order winning 8-1. #2 singles, Atra Biria finished with an 8-0 win. Mary Colombo got off to a fast 6-1 start to finally close her match with an 8-5 win and a 5-4 team win.
The Lady Knights take the courts on Tuesday, Sept. 28 in one of the Midwest's strongest tournaments, the Kansas City Invitational on the Plaza.
