Middle School Makers Deconstruct, Dismantle, Decode

Middle School Makers have started a unit in reverse engineering.
They are deconstructing various devices, including computer keyboards, home elctronics and remote controlled cars to better understand how they work.

Students in Brad Evans' class will keep track of the individual parts of their devices and will use them to create an exploded view of their objects.

An exploded vie is a drawing or photograph that shows individual parts of a mechanism in their proper relationship, usually with their relative positions indicated. They are often used in descriptive manuals to show how parts work together in an assembly, and are useful for communicating how different parts connect and work together to form a working machine.
