Manager of the Annual Fund
Fundraising
● Coordinate and provide oversight for all fundraising programs.
● Oversee planning and implementation of the Annual Fund Campaign.
● Plan and implement all Capital Campaigns.
● Manage the Planned Giving Program including The Heritage Society.
● Oversee production of all events including the gala and auction.
● Establish a systematic program to solicit gifts from foundations and corporations.
● Manage stewardship of contributions and acknowledgment and recognition of donors.
● Oversee production of all advancement print materials, email communications and website content.
● Work with the Board of Trustees Advancement Committee.
● Administer and execute all awards given to Barstow for faculty development.
● Report to the Business Office any and all bequests or stock donations immediately upon receipt.
Alumni Relations
● Oversee alumni relations activities including Alumni Board management.
● Work to increase participation of alumni in giving and volunteering.
● Oversee alumni communications including Alumni Connections and personal notices to alumni classes.
● Contribute to The Barstow Magazine
● Oversee alumni events including reunions, Traditions Supper, Holiday Party, Embry Gallery Openings and the annual Alumni Celebration.
● Oversee creation of alumni chapters throughout the US.
Database Management
● Maintain an accurate database of donors and potential givers including parents, grandparents, alumni, businesses, friends and foundations.
● Maintain an accurate record of past giving for the Advancement Committee and the President and Head of School.
● Publish reports of giving for the Advancement Committee and the President and Head of School.
● Publish fundraising report annually.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 7 - 10 years' professional experience in not-for-profit management, fund development and charitable gift planning, trust or financial services, or a related field required. Experience with Excel required and Raiser’s Edge software preferred.
