Seniors Learn Life Skills on Seminar Day

With only a few weeks left at Barstow, seniors in the Class of 2025 spent Monday, April 14, learning practical and emotional life skills to help prepare them for life after graduation.
Students met with faculty members throughout the morning to cover a range of topics during Senior Seminar, an annual rite of passage for the graduating class. They learned about personal finance and budgeting with Mr. Thurman and met with Mrs. Chanos, Director of Social and Emotional Counseling Services, to discuss healthy relationships. Dr. Cramer and Mrs. Thornburgh gave students an overview of what to expect in college, and Mr. Frank taught students about self-defense.

The senior class has several traditional activities scheduled during the next few weeks as they prepare for commencement on Monday, May 19. These include the Kindergarten-Senior Program on Monday, April 23, and the annual Senior Walk from the old Cherry Street campus location back to campus on State Line on Friday, May 9.
