Upper school English teacher Scott Guldin is the 2024 Betsi Brooks Krumm Award recipient. Each year, an outstanding faculty member is given the award in honor of Betsi Brooks Krumm '90, an alumna who dedicated her career to teaching prior to her passing in 2003.
Thanks to her family and friends, the honor comes with a generous monetary award. Mr. Guldin's colleagues mentioned his professionalism, his detailed and thought-provoking lesson plans and his genuine care for his students in their nominations. His award was presented by Betsi's husband, Dr. Berent Krumm, and two of her classmates and current Barstow parents, Sean Hart '87 and David Bernstein '89.
