Middle & Upper School Students "Rock" the Auditorium

Barstow crowned a middle & upper school Rock Paper Scissors champion on Tuesday, Aug. 27.
Middle & Upper School Dean of Student Services David Muhammad assembled students in the auditorium on World Rock Paper Scissors Day for a high-energy version of what has been dubbed "the most inclusive and accessible game on the planet," by the World RPA Association.

Students squared off against each other until only four finalists were left standing. On stage, Senior Afraah Hawa and seventh graders Grey Bittel, Orion Garbos and Mason Holmes competed until only Mason was left standing. He accepted his trophy in front of a roaring crowd.

"The goal was to bring the students some joy and find ways to intentionally build community," Mr. Muhammad said.
