Pink Out Nears $20K Raised for Susan G. Komen
Volleyball celebrated wins on and off the court on Tuesday, Oct. 15. Fans supported the team's annual Pink Out game and cheered the Knights on to a 3-1 win over University Academy.
Led by Athletic Administrative Assistant Polly Foster, Pink Out has been a signature event for the volleyball team since 2011. It raises money for Susan G. Komen® and the organization's mission to invest in breakthrough research to prevent and cure breast cancer.
Through a bak sale, concessions, T-shirts and gate fees, this year's Pink Out raised $1,864. That brings the 14-year total to $19,102 contributed by the generous Barstow community! Pink Out packs the stands every October and this year was no different as volleyball also celebrated Senior Night for Mylie Cadwalader, Leili Deshmukh, Sydney Georgie, Pamela Kuti, Alina Stribling, Mahek Vora, Cam Westphal and Alise Wood.
