State Tennis Champs Recognized at Awards Ceremony
Girls tennis team was honored at the Win for KC Women's Sports Awards ceremony on Tuesday, Feb. 4.
WIN for KC, a Kansas City organization for women’s sports advocacy, recognized the Barstow girls tennis team at their annual awards ceremonywhich was held at T-Mobile Center this year. Hundreds of high school state championship winning women athletes and teams were recognized in a “March of Champions,” where each team was brought to the stage individually to be congratulated.
Special guest, WNBA player Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever, spoke during a Q and A about the importance of self-confidence and learning from mistakes.
