Middle School Debate Finishing Season with Strength
The middle school debate team won eight awards at the Gloria Willis Middle School Debate Tournament hosted by DEBATE-KC on Thursday, Feb. 27.
Twenty-one Barstow students participated in Student Congress, where competitors give three-minute speeches over mock legislation. Judges score the speeches to determine the winners.
Twelve Kansas City-area teams attended the final DEBATE-KC weeknight tournament of the season. The middle school season will conclude with the City Championships at UMKC Saturday, March 1.
